Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM starts)

Key Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures including Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Craniotomy
Perform intraoperative nursing duties for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Dental Surgery
Support combined Neurosurgery and Head and Neck procedures as well as free flap reconstructive cases
Manage both open and endoscopic surgical cases
Float to other affiliated facilities as needed based on departmental requirements

Required Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand prior to start
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate
Previous travel assignment experience
Teaching hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience with liver transplant, kidney transplant, neurosurgery, spine, or vascular procedures
Familiarity with the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
