Job Description Here's a Glimpse of the Job The Research Technician I will provide computational and statistical support for a research project involving super resolution spatial transcriptomics and cellular imaging. Under the supervision of the faculty member, the Research Technician I will prepare research data, implement and evaluate statistical methods, conduct simulation studies, create visualizations, maintain reproducible code, and assist with research reports and manuscripts.
Opportunities to Contribute: - Prepare, organize and quality-check spatial transcriptomics, imaging, and cell-segmentation data.
- Conduct simulation studies and sensitivity analyses to assess model performance and robustness.
- Prepare figures, tables, technical summaries, and research documentation.
- Participate in research meetings and communicate progress to the principal investigator.
- Implement and evaluate statistical models for subcellular RNA localization and segmentation error.
- Develop and maintain reproducible Python code and data-analysis workflows.
- Review relevant literature, and assist with reports, presentations and manuscripts.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
A well-qualified candidate may also possess: - BS in Statistics or applied mathematics.
- Experience in analyzing xenium/merfish/cosmc/seqfish+ data.
- Experience in analyzing super resolution (subcellular level) spatial transcriptomics data, hierarchical statistical modeling, python/R.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
